Custom Laser Engrave Your Photos
The customer supplies the image to be engraved, either digital or printed Glossy photo originals. The engraved image will have no color, but rather look like a black and white image. The color images are converted to an eight-bit bitmap creating shades of gray from white to black in 256 steps, engraved with white being the surface and black being engraved the deepest.
If supplying your own wood, species with a close, even grain work the best, Red Alder, Cherry and maple work well. Species like Oak have open pores and areas harder and softer which will engrave to different depths causing ridges throughout the engraving.
